[center]Amr and Nancy dominate the cassette markets
It is reported that in Alexandria and the North Coast, both albums (El-Leila Di) by Amr Diab and (Shakhbat Shakhabeet) by Nancy Agram have completely taken over the cassette market!! Meanwhile, all the other summer albums have moved to the shadows.
This was asserted by major cassette distributors in both areas. They maintained that all people there buy almost nothing but these two album, with a huge gap between them and the other albums.
They added saying that almost all the other albums have met with failure, including Asala’s, which featured several Khaliji songs, Angham’s (Kol Ma Neaarab), Nagwa Karam’s (Hayda Haki), Saber El-Rebai’s (El-Ghorba) and Hani Shaker’s (Ahla El-Layali). Cassette distributors said that the fact that such albums have not achieved good sales rates is a phenomenon that occurs for the first time since many years.
